Ask HN: Is ActivityPub Still a Thing?

I was fascinated by ActivityPub because I feel the dominant social networks have evolved to doing more harm than good. It was great to see an alternative driven by an open protocol gaining some steam. However, I haven’t heard much about it recently now that talk about AI has taken over. Is Pinterest still using them? I’d been wanting to experiment with it and will embark on that adventure now that I’m “funemployed” for a little while. If anyone here has any pointers, I’d appreciate hearing them!
